I got sea dog . The portion was decent for the price and the size. The fish tasted good. Reminded me of Mc Donalds Fillet-o-fish. They have a lot of options and deals for hot dog, fries, burgers and more. The atmosphere doesn't not exist because they have only outdoor seatings with hobos cruising back and forth - the area is not the best. The service was fast and the food was fresh. Cant complain for that price point. Good place for a quick junk food bite lol. Recommended
I love that this place is open late and when I have a coupon for a soft serve ice cream cone for $1...well... you can bet that this sounds like a pretty good late night dessert for me! They said the ice cream was a little soft so they put it in a cup and put the cone on top. That is the best of both worlds! The ice cream isn't melting down my fingers. Lol! You can be sure that I will be back again and again...especially if I have a coupon and I really like the $1 off coupon on a root beer float. Such a great late night drive thru!!!
I have always been a fan of wienerschnitzel... So I'll start off saying that their food is good! It's usually clean , they're very fast & friendly. However the last two times it appeared they were rushing to make my food & the fries came out kind of raw still on my junkyard dog. It's happened twice but usually it's really good tho! This location is outside seating only!
Wienerschnitzel has vegan hot dogs. I repeat...Weinerschnitzel has vegan hot dogs! When my son and I found out we raced over there...ordered two Chicago vegan hot dogs smothered in the perfect amount of everything including the iconic Chicago sport peppers! We've had a lot of tofu dogs but these are the best! No...REALLY! We teamed them up with their perfect fries! No ketchup needed (LOL) We literally felt like little kids getting a reward for being good...sitting outside at their picnic tables nomming on our food! We finished off the adventure with a Fruit Loop shake and Tastee-Freez soft serve cone. Seriously delicious and satisfying fast comfort food! Great service too! See ya there!
You would not think a hot dog could be something special, then again you might have never tried the 100% beef Junk Yard Dog at Wienerschnitzel. Not super special, but mighty fine all the same. A soft bun, beef wiener, mustard, chili, cheese, onions and some fries are all served together to create this unique dog. Its become a family favorite. They serve several special dogs throughout the year, one should swing by and see if one of them suite your tastes. Their usual faire is pretty good, but a few of the special hot dogs have been amazing. This location also has a Tastee-Freeze within its walls, so you can get treats of that sort as well. A root beer float is pretty good to accompany most meals here, or you can get a soda, lemonade or iced tea. All in all, one of the better fast food joints in town when you're tired of burgers, tacos, or pizza. Try em, you'll like em.
